Orientation Class

Our orientation class is like a try before you buy. It’s an opportunity to meet us, see what we’re all about and our approach to Pilates before registering for our 12 week Term

We want as many of you as possible to fit Pilates or Yoga into your life, as we’ve seen the benefits people gain by attending. Better posture, less pain, more self confidence and overall feeling of well-being. That’s why we keep our timetable as open as possible providing flexibility when needed. Our timetable below has a selection of beginner and intermediate classes on offer on most days of the week, so you can attend a course to suit. You can also choose whether to attend once, twice or more per week to get maximum benefits. Going to miss a week? Don’t worry, you have 12 weeks in total to use your class passes, so you can simply jump into another session to make up. 

If you’re new to Pilates or Yoga don’t worry. We offer orientation sessions at the start of all our terms, so you can come and see what we are all about and get a feel for the way we deliver our classes. We welcome complete beginners through to those who’ve practiced elsewhere and will help you progress your body over the weeks.

Pilates & Yoga Orientation Classes

Our orientation classes are held the week prior to each seasonal term. This class is an opportunity to find out what’s involved before you commit to the 12-week term and allow you to decide which is the most appropriate course

Pilates Beginners Level 1

Designed to introduce you to the fundamental concepts and principles of the Pilates Method. This involves learning and practising core strength awareness, muscular flexibility, joint mobility and postural alignment

Pilates Improvers Level 2

Once you have established an understanding of the method, we aim to challenge you by teaching a flowing practice. These classes focus on improving your awareness of your personal strengths and weaknesses so you can refine and progress

Vinyasa Yoga Beginners

A slower-paced flow class tailored for those new to yoga or preferring a slightly gentler vinyasa. Postures are broken down to ensure correct alignment which is fundamental to Vinyasa plus breath work is taught so that you can mindfully move through sun-salutations and Vinyasa Flow. The classes will encourage students to explore different postures such as inversions, arm balances and deeper backbends

Vinyasa Yoga Improvers

A Vinyasa class designed to explore more complex sequences including arm balances and inversions which are layered over solid foundations that have already been built. A variety of modifications will be encouraged for postures. This class may incorporate hip-openers, twists, deeper backbends and inversions

Restorative Yin Yoga

Our bodies, under the right circumstances have the ability to relax. Through a series of easy poses (which are held for 3-5 minutes) allows us to switch from the “fight or flight” mode to the “relaxation” mode. Through restorative yoga you will notice an effect on heart rate and blood pressure. To achieve a quiet state of mind and body, complete muscular relaxation is encouraged.

SPECIAL 6 WEEK SUMMER TERM

Our next term starts MONDAY 29TH JULY 2019, and will run for 6 weeks as our SUMMER SPECIAL if you’d like to join our Summer Term, click the booking buttons below or email kelly@eastlondonpilates.co.uk – Simple! If you’re new to ELP you can choose to attend one of our Pilates Orientation sessions first or if you’d prefer, drop us a message and we can call you back to chat about our approach and if Pilates is right for you. Choose your class from our timetable below. Course are priced at:

NOTE: We will not run classes Saturday 25th August or Monday 27th August but will make up these classes by running Monday 9th September and Saturday 14th September instead

 £84:00pp/course for one session a week (allocation of 6 Classes) which can be used flexibly throughout the course

£144.00pp/course for two sessions a week (allocation of 12 classes) which can be used flexibly throughout the course

£36.00 for a special 3 class add on pass! 

£14/pp for the orientation session held prior to each course. Please book separately using the relevant buttons below

12 WEEK AUTUMN TERM

Our next Autumn term starts MONDAY 16TH SEPT 2019 if you’d like to join our Autumn term, you can contact us letting us know which time/day suits you best. However, if you’d like to chat about our terms and discuss if Pilates or Yoga is for you please just contact us and we’ll get back to you.Choose your class from our timetable below. Courses are priced at:

£168.00pp/course for one session a week (allocation of 12 Classes) which can be used flexibly throughout the course

£288.00pp/course for two sessions a week (allocation of 24 classes) which can be used flexibly throughout the course

£14/pp for the orientation session held prior to each course. Please book separately using the relevant buttons below

£72 for our Super Six Pass giving you an extra six classes to use flexibly throughout the course

                If you're new to East London Pilates, don't worry. We will be running our usual orientation classes to get you started.
